I just got it without knowing anything, but when they inserted the lens, it felt like a truck was stepping on my eye, like something heavy was going in I think one eye took under 5 minutes. Total time lying on the operating table was 15-20 minutes? It was a long time ago so I don't remember well, but at most 30 minutes?? I lay down in the recovery room for a bit and then went home. Right after surgery, looking at light is hard. Also, because of intraocular pressure, there was talk that I had to go to a hair salon and lie down to wash my hair. After 10 days to 2 weeks, when I went outside and saw light, it was like a halo phenomenon; at night, only in my eyes, the light was a total chaotic party But after about 5 years, the halo phenomenon definitely became lighter. Maybe my eyes adapted? It's not completely gone, but compared to the beginning, it has faded a lot. And that distinct heavy feeling and heavy-eye sensation lasted about 10 days? Then later maybe my eyes adapted, and now it's okay. Before surgery I had high myopia at -9, and right after surgery it was 2.0 / 1.9. Now about 4-5 years have passed, and it's around 1.3 / 1.4. I spent my whole school life wearing only glasses, so I'm very satisfied. But for people with thick corneas and no dry eye syndrome, I think SMILE LASIK is better than implantable contact lens surgery.
