My vision was close to -6, so without glasses I could barely make out the shapes of objects and my eyes basically couldn’t function. My glasses were also so thick and made my eyes look so small, so even if I just stepped out in front of my house for a bit, I always wore contact lenses.. That’s how it was, but I kept putting it off because I’d heard a lot that you should get it as late as possible, and then in April I got Contra LASIK!
Right after coming out of surgery, my vision had improved, so even though everything was very blurry, I could see letters clearly too (so fascinating...) On the day of surgery, once the anesthesia wore off, it stung so much and the foreign body sensation was severe, but after about 2-3 hours, I never had pain again after that. Only when putting in the autologous serum... I saw hell haha.. Since I had LASIK, my vision fully came in the next day, so I could see even most small text well. But my eyes were so sensitive to light that for 3-4 days, whether at home or outside, sunglasses were a must haha After that, my vision stabilized smoothly, and now I’m maintaining 1.2 in both eyes. Depending on how dry my eyes are, the glare/halos still get worse and better, but they said glare/halos only come back after about a year, so I’m just hanging in there!
