Day of surgery I didn’t feel anything, and my head only hurt a lot when they sprayed cold water Rather, it was hard to endure during the extra treatment, so I was holding onto the doll they gave me at first After surgery, they put in eye drops, the doctor examined me and said the surgery went well, but while I was waiting 10 minutes until the next eye drops, they saw I was having such a hard time because of stinging eyes, so they put them in 2 minutes early and sent me home On the way home, I just took medication in advance, covered myself with a hat, and kept my eyes closed. Then I opened and closed my eyes once in the middle, and suddenly it hurt so much that I took additional dexprofen I had surgery during the day, but the painkiller only started working at night
Day 1 I woke up around 7 a.m., and my right eye hurt and stung so much while my left eye felt nothing. If this was because of the extra treatment, I thought I should have just paid more and done extra treatment on both sides. Even when I tried to sleep, I couldn’t fall asleep because of the pain, and it was just so hard After staying under the blanket all day, it got better again around evening
Day 2 I woke up early in the morning and it hurt so much again that I worried how I’d get to the hospital alone, but by lunchtime it was bearable, so I took a taxi and got there fine They put in anesthetic drops and removed the protective lens, and apparently there had been foreign material stuck to the right lens. They said that was probably why it hurt… They say some people can return to daily life right after removing the protective lenses, but my eyes were too sensitive to light, so I ate with the lights off and just slept After waking up, there was no pain, but the foreign-body sensation in my right eye was severe. It got a little better when I used artificial tears, but still, the foreign-body sensation..
Days 3-5 My right eye still had quite a bit of foreign-body sensation, and even after using artificial tears I could feel dryness. My vision also wasn’t as good as the left side My left eye didn’t have much dryness and recovered quickly They say vision fluctuates, but without even that, except right after waking up, I could just consistently see well But both eyes sometimes had pain that felt like my eyeballs were going to fall out
Day 6 Dryness decreased a lot and the foreign-body sensation almost disappeared It felt like the vision in my right eye had also recovered to some extent
Day 7 I went to a jjimjilbang I rode in the passenger seat for over an hour, wore sunglasses, and my eyes were so dry that I endured it while putting in Liposic from time to time At the bathhouse, I absolutely did not soak above my neck in the bath When I went into the heated room, I also put in Liposic and kept covering my eyes with a towel, so it was okay It wasn’t heavy drinking, but I also drank soju at night
Day 9 I went to the hospital and had an eye exam; intraocular pressure was normal Visual acuity was 1.0 in each eye and 1.2 binocularly They reduced the steroid from 4 times to 2 times
Days 10-14 If I don’t sleep well, right after waking up I have double vision and glare/halos, but after being awake for a bit it gets better. Also, one of the two eyes is always very dry and stings, but that also gets better right away when I put in artificial tears After that, I don’t feel much dryness, so I only use artificial tears about 5 times a day
I haven’t been especially diligent with care, but so far I can see well without any major problems
