I had my hump shaved down and 2 mm silicone placed, and the nasal tip was built up with septal cartilage and ear cartilage. On the day of surgery, they said my septal cartilage was smaller than expected and suggested using donated rib cartilage, but I said it was okay, declined, and went ahead….
I don’t know why the doctor made the columella so long, but compared to the bridge, the nasal tip is way too long…. And the tip is already this pointy, so once the swelling goes down more later, it feels like it’ll really become a bird-beak nose.
I imagined a rounded nasal tip that was just a little higher than my original nose.
Ugh, I’m stressed. Should I get early correction? I feel like I need to shorten the columella and lower the nasal tip height.
My nose skin was originally really thin, so except for swelling around the glabella, there’s barely any swelling.
I have to go back to work starting tomorrow, and my job involves meeting people, so I’m going crazy…
