First of all, I had buried-suture double eyelid surgery 17 years ago, and one side came undone, so I went around for consultations for revision surgery.
1. Clinic name: ㅇㅁㄹ Consultant: Director Kim Hong-jin Consultation details: First, what I liked was that the manager made me feel comfortable. Personally, I don’t like it when someone who isn’t even a doctor acts overbearing, so I liked that aspect. The waiting time also wasn’t as long as I expected. The consultation with the director was attentive, I guess you could say, and he was kind and good, but personally I like a confident style, so compared with that, he felt too safe and cautious? It wasn’t bad, but I wasn’t exactly drawn to it either. I wanted an in-out line (natural adhesion) and anterior, upper, lateral, and lower canthoplasty all done, but he recommended lateral and lower canthoplasty only on the right side.
2. Clinic name: ㅇㅇㅋ Consultant: Director Yoo Hyun-seok Consultation details: This was the shortest consultation time I’ve had so far. And they said lateral canthoplasty couldn’t be done. The difference between the natural adhesion cost and the triple procedure cost was almost about 1 million won. Among the many clinics I visited, nothing really stayed in my memory.
3. Clinic name: ㅇㅇㅋㅌ Consultant: Director Lee Seok-hyun Consultation details: This is a single-doctor clinic, so there was no waiting time, and it felt relaxed, which was nice. After consulting with this doctor, I got the feeling that ah, I should do it at this clinic. Anterior, lateral, and lower canthoplasty were all possible, and because I prefer an in-out line rather than a semi-out line, the director’s style seemed naturally pretty, so it felt exactly aligned with what I wanted, and I booked it. (However, if you want a glamorous style, I don’t really recommend it.)
4. Clinic name: ㅎㄴ Consultant: Director Choi Jung-hoon Consultation details: I went here after watching YouTube, and it was nice that he examined things carefully, but I was taken aback because he also told me to get ptosis correction. He recommended no anterior canthoplasty, but upper canthoplasty, lateral and lower canthoplasty, plus ptosis correction, so it was the most expensive among all the clinics I’d consulted at so far. I also thought, is that really necessary??? and I don’t feel the need for ptosis correction, so I passed. (When I had my consultation, the manager was on day 3 after getting double eyelid surgery there, and the swelling wasn’t severe, so they did seem skilled.)
