Recently I became interested in double eyelid surgery, so I visited 5 plastic surgery clinics in Gwangju for consultations. My eyes are long horizontally and completely monolid, and double eyelid glue or tape is impossible for me (even with glue or tape, a double eyelid doesn’t form).
1. ㄷㄹㅇ A lot of reviews came up when I searched, so I went with high expectations. They said an epicanthoplasty would look creepy, so not to do epicanthoplasty, and recommended incision, ptosis correction, and fat removal. The staff didn’t feel particularly friendly.
2. ㅁㄷㅍ Local anesthesia Epicanthoplasty, incision They said ptosis correction wasn’t necessary. I liked that the director and staff were kind. It was nice that the consultation manager told me the director’s style in advance.
3. ㄱㄴㅅㄹ Local anesthesia + sedation Epicanthoplasty, ptosis correction, double eyelid They explained the differences between my left and right eyes (eye-opening strength, position, etc.). The most expensive of the 5 places. The director was warm and funny. The consultation manager explained things in detail.
4. ㅌㅅㅌ They took face photos as soon as I entered. The consultation with the director was done while looking at the face photos, but they only talked while looking at the photos and barely touched my actual eyelids. This was the only place that mentioned a non-incisional method. All 4 places except here emphasized that my eyes are prone to the double eyelids coming undone, but this place told me to do non-incisional surgery, so my trust dropped.
5. ㅅㅌㄹㅌ They recommended incision, epicanthoplasty, and ptosis correction. This place also told me about the difference between both eyes. Sedation + local anesthesia As soon as the director came in, they looked at my eyes and immediately said my eyes would be difficult for double eyelid surgery, which was interesting and made me trust them. For ptosis correction, they didn’t clearly say “do it” or “don’t do it,” and spoke ambiguously. Maybe ptosis correction isn’t essential for my eyes.

I thought the distance between my eyes and eyebrows was far, but the directors said that once double eyelids are made, the distance between them becomes very close, so I can’t do a glamorous line.
I was sad because the directors said my eyes are difficult to create double eyelids on and are prone to coming undone...
I’m debating between ㅁㄷㅍ, ㄱㄴㅅㄹ, and ㅅㅌㄹㅌ.
Please recommend a good place among these three!
