I wanted to get my first double eyelid surgery, so I looked around and first went to two places! I’m in my early 20s. 1. Wonjin Plastic Surgery (Director LSH) My mom said she had received a consultation there a long time ago when getting double eyelid surgery, so I went with her. I didn’t designate a director. There were foreigners, and I didn’t really see many people my age. I had a consultation with Director Lee Su-hyun. He recommended buried suture and ptosis correction. He said one of my double eyelids is only a wrinkle because I don’t have enough strength to open my eyes. He said that if I have surgery, they would operate while having me open my eyes in between. The price was said to be 1.5 million won, but with a discount it was 1.2 million won. I forgot and didn’t ask about the after-service part..
2. Noh Sang-hoon Plastic Surgery (Director KDH) I saw it on Instagram and online communities, and this time I went alone. It did seem like an ad, but the ratings here didn’t seem bad either. I designated Director Kim Da-han and had a consultation. As soon as he saw me, he said my upper eyelid hollowing was severe for my age, and I was recommended upper eyelid fat grafting, natural adhesion double eyelid surgery, and ptosis correction. He quoted 2.09 million won, but after some discounts it was 1.53 million won (they said this price applies if I deposit a 150,000 won reservation fee on the same day). They said if I tell them 4 days before surgery, excluding Sundays, the full 150,000 won reservation fee will be refunded. But because of my age, and because upper eyelid fat grafting was something I’d never heard of before, I feel a bit reluctant.. I asked what would happen if I got double eyelid surgery without fat grafting, and he said that like now, the double eyelid could gradually get higher and there’s a possibility it could come undone. Here, after-service is free for 3 years, and even afterward they said they would redo the surgery if I just pay around the anesthesia fee. They also said they provide aftercare (swelling care, etc.). For fat grafting, they said they would put in only a little during the first surgery, freeze the rest, and if it seems insufficient or if I want, they can do a second round too (they said most people receive up to a second round). When I said I would get only double eyelid surgery and ptosis correction without fat grafting, they said then the 3-year free after-service would not apply, and it would cost about the anesthesia fee.
I’m more drawn to #2 when I look at the director’s experience,,,(though honestly there isn’t a big difference) But the fact that they recommend fat grafting is a little... because I’m worried it might become bumpy, make my upper eyelids look puffy, cause side effects, etc.
