Double-Jaw Surgery Reviews

Malocclusion, long face, gums... Double-jaw surgery completed!

After after after before before <Reason for surgery> Malocclusion, large face, long midface, gums showing when smiling

Since I was young, I had malocclusion where my upper and lower teeth did not bite together properly, so the dental clinic I was going to told me I was a double-jaw surgery case! I used to think double-jaw surgery was dangerous and a major operation, so I thought I would absolutely never do it. But as I got older, my complex about my facial shape became worse, and because of things like cutting noodles with my tongue when eating + intentionally tucking my jaw in to make my bite fit, I ended up getting double-jaw surgery + 3 types of facial contouring (square jaw + chin tip + cheekbones) haha

I saved only reviews where the surgery results had the facial shape I wanted, and when I checked the hospitals, I am not exaggerating, all the reviews I had clipped were from people who had surgery at that clinic. I thought the style I wanted matched exactly with that place, so I went ahead with it.

While reading other people's 6-month reviews, I wondered, when will that time come for me, will it even come? But before I knew it, time had passed and I am leaving my own 6-month review like this haha If you ask how I am doing now, 6 months after double-jaw surgery, I am doing so, so well that I honestly sometimes even forget I had surgery. I actually think I am doing better than before surgery. Before surgery, my bite did not fit, so even cutting noodles while eating was uncomfortable, but after surgery my occlusion became normal, and I am satisfied with both the functional and cosmetic aspects.

My sensation has completely returned 100%, including my cheekbones, around my mouth, palate, and chin tip! There is still some swelling left around the philtrum and inside the mouth, so I keep massaging it and doing mouth exercises whenever I can ~ There are foods I am careful with because of my braces, but there are no longer any foods I avoid because of double-jaw surgery!

Actually, compared with other double-jaw surgery patients, my malocclusion was not that severe, so I had even more concerns and worries about the surgery. But my biggest complexes, my long midface and the gums that showed a lot when I smiled, were problems that could not be solved with orthodontic treatment and facial contouring surgery alone. So after thinking about it for a long time, I decided to have surgery.

In conclusion, even if I went back, I think I would have the surgery again! The recovery process up to 1 month after surgery was a little hard, but if I could enjoy the happiness I have now, I would have the surgery again without hesitation hahahaha
