I’m from outside the city, so I rented a room and have been going around, but after a full day of consultations I’m already so tornㅠ I searched around online and narrowed it down to the clinics that are well known for facial fat removal/liposuction by my standards, so I’m sharing my visit reviews. +) My face has a relatively broad side profile and fairly prominent jaw muscles.
1. ㅇㅇ (consultation fee X) I was consulted in the order of the manager and the director, looking at my CT images, and they recommended buccal fat removal here. I said I was worried buccal fat removal might cause hollowness in the cheeks, and they said the director would adjust it to fit the customer’s face and remove only what’s needed, then showed me photos of people who had deep fat removed. They also said if I only did liposuction on the jaw area, the buccal fat could make it look like I was holding a round candy in my cheek. They said the cannula openings would be made two behind the ears and one under the chin, and that because they use dissolvable threads, stitch removal isn’t needed. They asked me to come in the next day after surgery for disinfection. What they recommended here was jawline + buccal fat (slight) + thread lifting 6 strands + jaw Botox. The consultation atmosphere was fine, and the consultation time was the longest among the places I went to today. The estimate came to about 244, including the fee for assigning the head surgeon. They said if I put down a same-day reservation deposit, they would reduce it to 200, so I’ve at least left a deposit for now.
2. ㅈㅇ (consultation fee 0.5, ultrasound fee 0.5) Here, the director consulted me while checking the thickness of the fat with ultrasound. When they asked what my biggest concern was, I said I didn’t like how the area next to my jaw sticks out. Then they recommended side jaw liposuction and jaw Botox. When I asked whether double chin and buccal fat were unnecessary, they said double chin wasn’t recommended, and that my face could get buccal fat removal, but liposuction and Botox were the priorities, and if I wanted to remove it later I could have it taken out separately. Also, they didn’t recommend lifting here at all (neither the director nor the manager). I was told I’d need to come in on day 7 after surgery to have the stitches removed. During the consultation, I felt the director was very kind, and I could feel that they were trying to make the face I wanted. Side jaw liposuction and jaw Botox came to 116.
3. ㄷㅌㅈㄹㅂ (consultation fee X) Here, both the manager and the director didn’t recommend facial fat liposuction, saying it wouldn’t be very effective.. They said the back part of the protruding area is muscle, so Botox is the solution, and if what I want is a slimmer look, the fat around the sides of the cheeks / near the mouth has sagged, so it would need thread lifting to pull it up. During the manager consultation, I also asked about buccal fat removal, but they said 9 out of 10 people end up hollow after removing it, so they didn’t recommend it. The consultation itself was so different from what I had expected that I couldn’t even talk much more; I just got the cost information and left, and there was no pressure to undergo any procedure. The time I spent talking with the director was the shortest here; it was almost like we just passed by each other. The quote was 101 for thread lifting, and 99 for front cheek and side cheek liposuction, but aftercare costs were added separately, bringing it to 121.
I came back from consultations on day 1 this Tuesday, and every clinic recommends slightly different things, so I’m going crazyㅠ Honestly, I had already stopped thinking about buccal fat because I’ve seen quite a few reviews saying it causes severe hollowness, but the first clinic I went to recommended it, so now I’m wondering if I should do it after all.. Every clinic agreed I should get jaw Botox, so maybe I should just get Botox only.. I’m worried I’ll keep agonizing over this forever.. Still, I hope my review helps everyone here…
