First, 9 years ago, my nasal bridge was so low that it was a complex for me, and without knowing anything, I had ear cartilage + silicone surgery at a local plastic surgery clinic just because it was cheap.
There were no issues in daily life, but one day I looked in the mirror and my nose looked crooked. Since then, whenever I looked in the mirror, I started seeing only how crooked my nose was.
From the time I decided I needed nose surgery, I also started wanting improvements design-wise in addition to correcting the crooked nose. I did online research at many places, but ultimately visited 4 clinics in person.
After going around to different places, except for one clinic, the surgical method was the same. The only difference was what cartilage would be used.
My nose was already small and had little tissue, so the height could not be increased. Keeping the silicone height the same, correcting the crooked nose, osteotomy because the nose looked spread out from the front, raising the nasal tip with autologous costal cartilage because ear cartilage had already been used, and lowering the columella(?) were the plan.
Day of surgery. After surgery, when I was resting at the hospital, it didn't hurt as much as I expected. But since it was sedation anesthesia, I suffered from dizziness and nausea.
After discharge, in the car on the way home, my nose only hurt to the extent of a stinging pain, so it was bearable. But my ribs felt uncomfortable, like my side was stiff when I ate and moved, and once the anesthesia wore off, my ribs hurt more than my nose. I thought if it was going to be like this, I should have used donated costal cartilage.. As soon as I got home, I took Tylenol. It hurts, but it's livable. Oh, and because my ribs hurt, I can't take a deep sigh..
It's still the day of surgery and I'm covered in dressings, so I can't tell the current condition and don't know if it turned out well. I'll know when the splint comes off in a week.
