Hi!! My first cosmetic surgery was two-jaw surgery, and I’m going to briefly share my story about getting it done!!
First of all, I did not have it at a plastic surgery clinic, and not at a university hospital either. I had it done at a specialized oral and maxillofacial surgery clinic!! The reason was safety. I chose it because I thought a place that specializes in it would probably do it the most safely and reliably!! And now I’m living satisfied, with absolutely zero side effects!!
But don’t expect a dramatic change from two-jaw surgery.. It definitely does change you, but specialized hospitals mostly do it for treatment purposes, so they only operate up to just the average range, and they turn away people who are within the normal range but come in wanting two-jaw surgery.. I also said I wanted facial contouring together, but I got rejected right awayㅠㅠ
In the end, I didn’t get a dramatic result, but I had severe asymmetry and a class III malocclusion, and those improved a lot, so I’m living pretty satisfied!! The surgery cost 15 million won, orthodontic treatment cost 5 million won, and fixation pin removal cost 2.5 million won!! It’s definitely really expensiveㅜㅜㅜ So I only recommend it to people whose lower face is abnormally developed!! Those people will probably be very satisfied!!ㅎㅎ
What was hard after surgery was breathing! My nose and mouth were all blocked with blood scabs, so it felt like the openings I could breathe through were 1/5 smaller than before? Even though I don’t have any particular respiratory disease, I was panting and I don’t think I slept properly for about a weekㅠㅠ But once that week passed, I felt like I was flying ㅣㅋㅋㅋㅋ But last time, when I had my fixation pins removed and was hospitalized for a day, the person hospitalized next to me had trouble breathing and had a seizure.. They ended up being taken to the ER... I really think it varies by person.. Looking back now, I feel like I scheduled it too fearlessly too ㅋㅋㅋㅋ Still, mine turned out so well that I’m satisfied!!
Conclusion: if you’re getting two-jaw surgery, go to a university hospital or a specialized hospital, and don’t expect too dramatic an effect!! However, people whose lower face is very abnormal can see a good effect!! Even I thought I was a really severe case because my mouth didn’t close together properly, but seeing the patients there, I wasn’t that severe;; I hope this helps people considering two-jaw surgery::)) Bye for now
