<All of the post-op noses look pretty, but they are too high and unbalanced for the size of the face> I had early removal at 3 weeks. I wanted it removed for various reasons, including the foreign-body sensation, the change in my impression, the shape being pretty but too high and sharp for my face, almost no improvement from the front, and anxiety.
I had the removal done at the same hospital where I had the surgery, so even if you ask, I can't really give you an answer.
They used thin silicone, bulbous nose correction, osteotomy, ear cartilage support, ear cartilage for the nasal tip, and septum correction for a crooked nose? The crooked-nose correction using the septum actually made breathing easier after surgery, so I kept only that and had the rest removed.
It's been 9 days since the removal now, and from the front, aside from the stronger shadow around the nostrils and the swelling, I think it looks similar.
From the side, maybe because they shaved down the hump and used cartilage rearrangement to support the tip, the tip is higher than my natural nose and the hump has been smoothed out.
The shape is between my surgical nose and my natural nose. Before, the nostrils were almost invisible, but now they feel like they show about 1 mm? It doesn't feel lifted at all, and I think someone who doesn't know would think it looks the same.
If anything, my removed nose has more shading than my natural nose, so the shape is more defined, the tip is set, and the hump has been smoothed out, which I actually like more... lucky, right?
I don't know yet about the contraction phase, and I'm not taking Rizaben.
Honestly, since after the surgery and even up to the day before removal, I barely went outside and felt depressed, but after removal I'm actually happy...
Other than the throbbing inside my nose and the headache after removal, I'm satisfied!
Depending on the angle, the shape looks different, but it doesn't look lifted, and from the front the straight line from the glabella that was created by the silicone is gone, so my impression has returned to how it was before!
