I wanted an extremely natural-looking nose surgery, so I picked a few places after looking at photo reviews on apps and reviews in cafes and went to consultations! So far, three places!
The points I told them in common each time were: ‘I want a natural-looking nose • natural enough that acquaintances may notice, but strangers wouldn’t • I don’t like a nasal tip that is too pointy or drawn out long • I feel an overly curved nasal bridge line looks unnatural • I also think an overly slim nasal bridge would look unnatural • I don’t want much work done between the eyebrows.’
Please keep in mind that reviews are very, very subjective!!
1. Pleasure Plastic Surgery - Director Son / CT scan optional • 20,000 won / almost no waiting / satisfied with both consultant and doctor consultations : When I saw the app reviews, there were many glamorous results, but the review photos of natural-looking results were so pretty that I put it on my list and went. Because I’m scared of side effects, I asked whether the nasal bridge could be done with my own tissue instead of an implant, and they said that’s possible with dermis? but then overcorrection would be necessary in preparation for absorption, and because it’s not possible to know exactly how much would be absorbed, they didn’t recommend it and recommended 3 mm silicone! Also, they said I slightly had a bulbous nose by appearance, so that part added an extra fee. I have rhinitis, and when they looked with CT, they said the right side was slightly deviated and that it would be okay to address that together. From what I remember, there didn’t seem to be an extra fee for correcting that part! Among the three consultations, the doctor seemed confident and said he also pursues a natural direction, so I liked this place the most, but the surgery reviews I saw for this hospital after using points were a bit too case-by-case, so I’m still thinking about it
2. Nana Plastic Surgery - Director Kim / no CT or camera imaging / no consultation fee / provisional reservation deposit 100,000 won / I had an appointment but waited a little over 1 hour / dissatisfied with both consultant and doctor consultations : This doctor seemed to have quite a glamorous style, but among the app photo reviews, there seemed to be many pretty results among people who had a natural style, so I booked a consultation. First, I said I wanted a natural style, and the consultant said she had also had surgery with this doctor and showed me, but! it wasn’t my style, so I felt a little put off there. I thought she would roughly show me with a cotton swab and that the detailed content would be discussed with the doctor, but the consultant did almost everything, so my trust was a bit shaken. After about 10 minutes? of consultation with the consultant, I waited over an hour and then had a 5-minute consultation with the doctor. I told him the style I wanted and the direction I was aiming for, but his answer ended at, ‘We can just do the style you want~ I’ll make it natural~,’ which made me trust him very, very little, and since my curiosity about exactly how he would do it wasn’t resolved, I just passed. Also, I couldn’t tell from the outside, but the consultant touched it and said I had a dorsal hump and that this part needed to be shaved down. When I saw the doctor check the hump without much confirmation about this part, I felt put off again. After the doctor left, the consultant very naturally said the reservation deposit was 100,000 won, so I said I’d check my schedule and contact them, then ultimately passed..!
3. It’s B Clinic - Director Jang / consultation fee 10,000 won / no CT scan, camera photos from multiple angles yes / no waiting at all / consultant and doctor consultations were very detailed : This person also had many glamorous reviews, but there were 1-2 reviews that were unbelievably natural, so I put it on the list. They said he can also provide ENT care and that if I have insurance, a certain portion can be reimbursed. They took photos from upper and lower angles of my face too and referred to them, so I trusted it a bit. After hearing my picky requests, the doctor showed me before-and-afters of patients he had operated on so far and said that if I told him candidly what I felt from the photos, he would figure out the style I wanted, which made me trust him once again. But none of the before-and-afters he showed were photos in the direction I wanted, so I felt a little put off. Personally, I think cosmetic surgery largely follows the doctors’ style, so that part felt significant to me. Here, they said the hump wasn’t noticeable from the outside and wasn’t worth shaving down, so they didn’t recommend it. Also, the consultant was really kind and explained in detail, and said she had done her nose here, but..! it didn’t seem to match my style, so I felt put off once more. So since I liked the reimbursement part and the consultation content, I put it on temporary hold.
