I am not a typical case, so I think you can just take this as, university hospital surgery is something like this.
It seems like it was more than about five years ago, so there are some parts I have forgotten.
My nose was on the very low side, and I had surgery where they cut the bone in the cheekbone area next to the nose and brought it toward the nose + other miscellaneous surgeries.
I had non-dissolving cotton inserted for about a week, and the surgery was done under general anesthesia for about 2-3 hours.
I remember being completely back to normal after the cotton was removed.
I remember that they could not place an implant, but I think it was actually better that they did not.
