3-month SMILE LASIK review!

First of all, before surgery, my eyes had myopia of -5 and astigmatism of -1 each. I didn’t have zero dry eye, but I had only worn contact lenses for 1 to 2 years, so it wasn’t severe, and my corneal thickness was sufficient. They said it was thick enough that if my vision worsened later, I could have LASIK one more time. At the time, I was busy with school, so I searched a lot online, but searching for too long got exhausting.. So this was the first place I had a consultation, and I decided to have surgery the same day!! The hospital was really big and there were a lot of people. I originally went thinking I’d get it from the most famous director, but there was a 200,000 won difference per director, and the consultant recommended another director, saying he had done many cases like my eyes, so after the consultation I decided. In conclusion, my vision is now 1.2, and I don’t have any side effects yet!! The best part is that even though I had surgery that removes corneal tissue, my dry eye is not much different from before surgery My eyes weren’t the severely dry type to begin with, but maybe the director did the surgery well, so the dryness was less?! I only felt dryness until exactly the one-month mark, and even that was manageable as long as I used artificial tears regularly~!! I happened to get it done while attending school, so during exam period I looked at books and my tablet for a really long time, but it wasn’t that uncomfortable. The driest it got was only briefly when I woke up. Now it’s been 3 months, and honestly I don’t feel much difference from before surgery. Since I barely have dryness, I just forget to use artificial tears and it’s been a while since I used them Ha, before surgery my eyes were so bad that I had to wear contacts for daily life, and when you wear contacts for a long time, your eyes get so gritty.. Now I don’t have to feel that anymore, and I’m just so happy that these are my eyes now.. As for daily life, you can definitely do normal activities after 2 to 3 days, but for me, right after surgery, I was in so much pain for exactly about 4 hours that I thought I was going to die... Honestly, it hurt more than double eyelid surgery;; Pain felt by skin and pain felt by the eyeball are clearly different^^;;; It stung so much, I was sensitive to light, tears came out on their own.. It burned and I really felt like dying, but after I endured just 4 hours, it got a bit better... Also, around weeks 1 to 3, when looking at shiny objects? things looked a bit blurry and spread out. I guess it’s a symptom that usually happens with SMILE LASIK. The director told me about it before I even mentioned it! So when I watched TV at school, the letters were blurry and it was a little uncomfortable, but after about 3 weeks it went away!! In conclusion, I really recommend SMILE LASIK.. For women, when your eyesight is really bad, your eyes look so small when you wear glasses, which is sad.. and you have to do makeup too.. Contacts are also so uncomfortable when you wear them for a long time.. I really found the light after getting SMILE LASIK.
