First, I did a really, really lot of online research, and while looking up reviews for each hospital I found online, I went for in-person consultations at hospitals that had *cases where eyes as similar to mine as possible changed into the eyes I wanted.*
The first hospital I went to was ㅁㅇㅌ, and I had surgery there. A YouTuber’s eyes were similar to mine, and the post-op result was also the kind of eyes I wanted, so I went there. When I went for the consultation, I Photoshopped the eyes I wanted and brought that, and I also brought celebrity photos. 1. I said, "The biggest reason for surgery is that my eyes look too close together, and because I had hook-shaped eyes, it would be nice if the shape improved, but more than the shape, the strong impression from looking close-set is more stressful, so I think I’d be okay if just that improved." 2. But since I didn’t like the hook-shaped eyes either... I asked whether they could also be improved into a rounded but pointed shape, and they said the hook-shaped eyes might not improve.
3. And they said the eyes could end up more closed off than the eyes I Photoshopped and brought. (I had blocked the inner corners very subtly in Photoshop.) But they said my overall impression could definitely improve to look more harmonious.
4. I asked them not to close them off too much and make me look like a frog. (I emphasized this until the day of surgery.)
The director clearly told me what could and could not be done, so after enough thought, I was able to decide on surgery. As a result, I’m very satisfied, and even the hook-shaped eyes that they said might not improve did improve ㅠㅠ However, for about 2 weeks after surgery, I couldn’t get used to my suddenly smaller-looking eyes, so I think I also worried, what if I end up regretting this.. But my previous eyes were definitely bigger, yet maybe because they were concentrated toward the front, when I compare them with my current photos, I think the current ones are much better. My eyes now aren’t extremely small either.
The second hospital I went to was ㅂㅌ. I had seen surgery reviews there with eyes similar to mine, and more than anything, they said they would show the expected post-op eyes with Photoshop, so I was curious and went. They took a photo of my eyes with a camera, and during the consultation they Photoshopped it in real time and said, it will look like this~ After the Photoshop, my eyes didn’t look bad, so I think I was able to decide, let’s just do the restoration surgery I had been somewhat debating!
The consultation at ㅂㅌ was okay too, but I trusted ㅁㅇㅌ more and felt it would suit me better, so I decided to have surgery at ㅁㅇㅌ.
I was also going to go for a consultation at ㄷㅂㅊ, but I think there was a consultation fee of 10,000 won, and I had just decided on ㅁㅇㅌ, so I canceled the consultation.
