Nose Re-Surgery@rhino-redo

I had my splint removed today after full removal!

There seemed to be especially few reviews about removal, so I was about to delete the app but decided to share my review haha

I had one nose surgery where they slightly shaved my hump, did columella surgery, and used silicone and costal cartilage.

I had no side effects or functional problems at all, but it wasn’t a dramatic change either, and I felt frustrated that I had to keep worrying about my nose just for this small bit of improvement.

It may have looked pretty to others, but I just missed my soft, low natural nose from before, so I decided to have everything removed.

I had the removal surgery 7 months after the cosmetic surgery, and I had it done at a hospital specializing in removal. (Today is day 8 after removal.) I had full removal without cartilage repositioning, and they also removed the capsule and scar tissue.

To start with the conclusion, I’m very satisfied! I was worried, like what if it looks too different from my natural nose, or what if asymmetry appears, but it really went completely back to my natural nose! I think once just a little more swelling goes down, it’ll be perfectly back haha

I think people who had their hump shaved or used costal cartilage would be especially more worried about removal surgery. I also had a time when I worried, “What if the shaved hump area becomes sunken?” “If they suddenly take out the costal cartilage, won’t my nose collapse and spread out?”

Maybe it turned out well because I had the removal fairly early and did it at a hospital specializing in removal, but the shaved hump area is still slightly there just like my natural nose, and there is no sunken area at all! My nose also didn’t spread out badly or become lower.

My nose seems to be getting softer little by little too, and during my first surgery, maybe because of the columella surgery, the philtrum? columella? area felt very tight, but with the removal surgery I didn’t feel any tightness at all! Just a slight stinging at the incision site! Maybe because I had already experienced the cotton inside my nose during the first surgery, breathing wasn’t that uncomfortable for me either lol (I slept so well..)

It’s still only day 8, but if there’s anything you’re curious about, I’ll tell you as much as I know!
