3 years ago, I had surgery using L-shaped silicone and ear cartilage. My nose suddenly swelled up, so I went to the hospital where I had the surgery, and they gave me an antibiotic injection and prescribed medication. At that time, it felt like they weren’t really examining my nose properly, and just gave me an injection and prescription and sent me off, but I thought maybe it wasn’t serious and let it go...
But this time, my whole nose was more swollen and it felt like my nose was throbbing, so I thought I should go to another hospital besides the one where I had surgery. I asked friends around me who had nose surgery, and one friend introduced me to Chamin, so I went there. The director looked inside my nose and said pus was currently coming out inside my nose and that it needed to be removed quickly... I really felt like my heart dropped..ㅠㅠㅠㅠ If I left it alone, I felt like my nose might really develop contracture or become abnormal, so I had the L-shaped silicone removed through an incision inside the nose.
After searching in a community and reading posts, I saw that L-shaped silicone isn’t used much these days... and I felt like I had surgery without researching properly enough..
It’s now been 7 days since I had the nasal implant removed. Today I went to the hospital for treatment and had the stitches inside my nose removed ㅠ The director also said it’s healing well, told me not to worry too much, and said absolutely not to drink alcohol, so for 6 months I’m really going to try to hold back..ㅠ I think I understand why it’s a hospital many people go to for revision surgery. As he did during the consultation, the director personally treats and checks everything one by one after surgery.
And fortunately, since the incision was made inside the nose, from the outside there’s only slight swelling and it’s not very noticeable, so I’m wearing a mask and commuting to work tooㅠ
There’s still swelling, so my nasal bridge looks high, but once all the swelling goes down, it’ll get lower... so I’m worried.. I am thinking about revision rhinoplasty after 6 months, but for those who had silicone removed and then revision surgery, are you doing well without inflammation or problems?ㅠㅠㅠ
