I had the nasal tip cartilage removed I removed only the silicone first, then 2 weeks later had only the nasal tip removed separately I think complete removal is better After removal, I felt extremely relieved.. But there are a few things I’m slightly worried about, so I came to write a post ㅠㅠ
I had only the silicone removed at a different hospital They just took it out, and one nostril went up.. Of course, now it has come down enough that it doesn’t bother me much.. I don’t know if it’s because they adjusted it when removing the nasal tip, or because the contracture period is almost over..
Anyway, I’m satisfied with the surgery they did.. I was a little worried because I had two closed procedures within a short period of time But after surgery, there actually wasn’t any major change in the nostril shape..
Even a big worrier like me is satisfied with the shape change, so I hope you don’t get too scared!!
But what I’m worried about these days is..
1. After removal, I developed some rhinitis. Has anyone else experienced this? (It’s only my left nostril doing this..) Honestly, before that, even when I was living with a surgically altered nose, I didn’t pay much attention to my nose.. so I wonder if I already had rhinitis before and just didn’t know.. I got a lot of help from this community, but the downside is that the more I read, the more worried I get ㅠ
2. It’s been 5 months since removal.. but suddenly the area around the nostril wing (?) became hard and red, like a contracture phase had come, then after about 20 minutes (?) it got better again.. It’s the nostril where my rhinitis has gotten worse, so maybe it became sensitive.. or I’m worried it could be inflammation.. Can inflammation still happen after removal..? The hospital said that if it happened briefly and then stopped, it probably wasn’t anything seriously abnormal ㅠ
3. Do other people also feel the alar cartilage hard at the nasal tip..? I had been thinking maybe it normally feels hard.. but I read a review in this community where someone said they had all their ear cartilage removed, and I saw another review saying there had been a remaining fragment, so I suddenly got scared.. My right alar cartilage in particular feels hard, so I don’t know whether this is ear cartilage or my own alar cartilage..
I saw a lot of reviews saying this place is unfriendly, so I was worried But for me, it was better than I expected, and although the nurses weren’t extremely warm or anything, they explained everything I asked in detail every time.. After I had the silicone removed, one nostril was slightly lifted, so since then I became very anxious and asked a huge number of questions.. but they still responded well, and if I was too worried, they scheduled a consultation with the director.. I especially saw many reviews saying the manager was unfriendly.. but for me, they were just firm, actually communicated well, and clearly explained the parts I didn’t know, so I liked that.. I think I’ll be okay once worry no. 3 goes away quickly, but no. 3 is what worries me ㅠㅠ Do other people also feel the alar cartilage hard..?
