I had nasal bridge osteotomy after an accident 23 years ago, and at the time the hospital only treated that area and I had been doing fine. But starting 2 years ago, inflammation developed at the nasal tip, so I had an X-ray taken and something like a foreign body showed up, which led me to have nose surgery. I had consultations at five places, and I had surgery with Director Guk Kyung-hoon. Director Guk was so kind and accurately pointed out the problems, so I trusted him. We also decided to do rhinitis treatment and bulbous nose correction together. I was worried because I have often woken up during sleep anesthesia before, but during the surgery it felt like I slept completely comfortably. I had no bruising at all, and swelling was only slight on days 2 and 3. Ear cartilage was used, and I was worried it would hurt, but it didn’t hurt at all, so I thought maybe they hadn’t used ear cartilage^^ However, my nasal tip seriously hurt so much for 3 days that breathing through my mouth was not uncomfortable at allㅠㅠ I had the cotton removed after 2 days, but if I did it again, I would keep the cotton blocked for at least 5 days. For me, it was harder after removing the cotton. I couldn’t smell anything at all for 5 days, and about 5 minutes after removing the cotton, my nose became completely blocked anyway, so I had to breathe through my mouth, and without the cotton, nasal discharge kept flowing, which was more uncomfortable. Until the silicone plates inside my nose were removed after 2 weeks, I could only smell about 50%. After 1 week, the splint was removed and my nose shape looked like an upturned nose + pig nose (I wanted a straight-to-slightly-curved line), so I was so shocked that I cried. The director reassured me, saying it was because of swelling and that this was not the final shape, and that if it was still like this after 6 months, he would do surgery again (as a precaution/guarantee). Now that 2 weeks have passed, it has come down a lot, so I’m satisfied~ Even if I had surgery again, I would do it with Director Guk Kyung-hoon~ If you’re thinking about nose surgery, I strongly recommend Director Guk Kyung-hoon!!!
