I have a hump nose with a slight bulbous-nose feel, just a typical high-bridged hump nose. Last December, I had consultations at plastic surgery clinics in Daegu: ㅇㅈ/ㄹㄷㅅ/ㅇㅇㅈ.
ㅇㅈ - I went through an acquaintance's recommendation, so it was the cheapest, around 2 million won. The clinic interior was very nice, like a movie theater. They said they would shave down the hump and use both septal cartilage + ear cartilage. An anesthesiologist is on-site, so they proceed with sedation anesthesia. But they suggested putting a thin implant over the shaved hump area, and since I wanted no implant, I put it on hold. They explained well while lifting my nose with a long cotton swab. They said they would set it a little high at first, considering that the cartilage would come down after surgery. Looking at my acquaintance's nose too, at first it looked like a pig nose, but now it looks very natural.
ㄹㄷㅅ - This was the only place that did closed surgery. The interior was not spacious, but the consultants were very kind and explained everything well, and they said they would use only ear cartilage. Here too, they would shave the hump and use ear cartilage up to the nasal bridge. But it is not sedation anesthesia from beginning to end. They said I would wake up briefly in the middle and be groggy, waking and sleeping. The price was either 3 million or 2.9 million won. The cash price and card price are different. The review photos here had the prettiest straight-with-slight-slope line, so if I had done it, I would have done it here.
ㅇㅇㅈ - This was also a place I went to through an acquaintance's recommendation. I heard it was a one-doctor clinic in Daegu that had been in the same location for a long time, so I went, but the clinic interior was really old. It was very small and really felt like a one-doctor clinic. They do not use ear cartilage and use only septal cartilage. For photos, the director just took them on a tablet during the consultation and explained while drawing on them. Slightly shaving the hump, lifting with the septum, and raising the nasal tip. Here too, I guess there was no anesthesiologist; they said I would wake up from sedation anesthesia in the middle, and I would feel everything like my nose being lifted and the surgery being done, so I gave up But at that time, I think it was winter break when I was 18, so they said I was too young and told me to come back next year or the year after. So the consultation ended in about 5 minutes, and the cost was in the low 3 million won range. Here too, the cash price and card price were slightly different.
In conclusion, I only managed to visit 3 places, so I decided to think about it more and did not have surgery. I made a reservation to have consultations in Seoul as soon as the college entrance exam is over!
