Review 6 Years After Single-Jaw Surgery at a University Hospital

1. The university hospital’s system itself is built safely, but its aesthetic sense is not very outstanding.

2. There is no problem with occlusion, but there is nerve damage. In particular, the jawbone fractured during surgery, but there was no explanation about this. Sensation in the front chin on the fractured side is very dull.

*For several months after surgery, I told the hospital that sensation in one side of my jaw was not returning, but they only gave an insincere answer saying it would come back with time.*

3. It is hard to make appointments, and I couldn’t book at the times I wanted.

4. The single-jaw surgery fee alone was 10 million KRW+, and orthodontic costs were 8 million KRW+ You can think of double-jaw surgery as being about +2 million KRW more.

If I could turn back time, I don’t think I would necessarily do it at a university hospital.
