I had orthodontic treatment for about 3 years and had a total of four teeth extracted, two upper and two lower canine-area teeth. It’s been over five years since I got my braces off, and I’m completely satisfied. I had a severe protruding mouth, but it went completely inward, and when I compare the before-and-after photos, it’s not just my mouth that changed. My lower face became completely refined, so I look like a totally different person. At first, I was scared of having teeth pulled, so I tried doing it without extractions, but I wasn’t satisfied and ended up having the teeth pulled after all. The first day was the hardest, and every time the braces were tightened, it hurt so much I couldn’t even chew noodles, so I got through it by taking medicine. But if you’ve really made up your mind to do it, I recommend extracting the teeth and doing it properly.
