Plastic surgery clinics post tons of ads, and they upload photos from just one month after surgery as reviews, when the swelling still hasn't even gone down and the shape hasn't settled properly. So why is it that when we write about plastic surgery side effects, even if we only write the facts, we have to be afraid of getting sued for revealing the hospital name...
Isn't that unfair?
I'm writing this because I don't want there to be any more victims of side effects like me.
Rather than people rushing into surgery after only seeing successful reviews, I think factual posts about side effects and how hospitals respond to those side effects are definitely things consumers need to refer to carefully before getting surgery. It's sad when I see posts where people can't even reveal the hospital name...
If it's for the public interest and only the facts are written, wasn't it okay to disclose it... I feel like reducing the harm to consumers who will have to live their whole lives after a botched surgery should take priority over a hospital's financial damage. Something feels seriously wrong...
