<A huge amount of scar tissue and inflamed tissue..> I had full removal surgery today at 2 p.m.
I had my first surgery like this: deviated septum correction + lowering the nose tip with the septum + a wedge graft(?) After that surgery I felt so miserable and depressed, but I managed to pull myself together, endured it for a year, saved up money, and got the removal surgery.
First, the surgical result: the alar cartilage was really bent, but since I said I didn’t want them to use cartilage to straighten it, they straightened it as much as possible with dissolvable threads. The cartilage on the columella... collapsed once the septal cartilage was removed, so they straightened it using a piece of my own septal cartilage... (I never even thought of that.. but there was no choice..) And then, for the extension graft? the wedge graft they had done, they trimmed off only the part that protruded beyond the original length of the septum and reinforced it! Finally, the silicone was removed!
Phew... it wasn’t something simple, so I’m really disappointed and scared.. but still, I feel relieved that it’s been removed.. I don’t know For now, I’m thinking maybe it was fortunate that I got it removed quickly since they said there was a lot of scar tissue.. Ahh what am I even saying?! Anyway, I’m going to rest!! I’ll take off the splint and leave another review!
