Hi. I suddenly came into this community late at night after a long time because I was curious, and I thought sharing my story might help, so I am writing this out of nowhere. Around November 2024, I impulsively went ahead with a nose-thread lift at [Clinic A], took annual leave, and had it done. First, what I disliked afterward was that my nostrils became asymmetrical. Other than that, I was doing fine, but once I actually had it done, the foreign-body sensation was extremely strong for me. My nose felt empty, I could not blow it properly, and even the nasal crusts were a problem. I was constantly anxious about bumping my nose in everyday life, hated it when my boyfriend touched my face or nose, and after the nose procedure I developed terrible blackheads. Anyway, it caused so much stress in my daily life.
As time passed, the cartilage became terribly visible. It was round and white, then turned red too. One day I was picking my nose with a cotton swab, and something like a nasal crust would not come out. I wondered whether it was bone or cartilage, so I took half a day off the next day and first went to [Clinic B]. They confirmed that cartilage was protruding and said it had to be removed.
I was so scared that something serious might happen, and my anxiety spiraled, so I also visited two other places twice each, [Clinic C] and [Clinic D]. During consultations for removal, I learned that before my original nose surgery I had previously had filler and threads placed in my nose. [Clinic A] had told me that all the nasal threads had been removed, but every removal clinic said they could feel threads and that some were still there.
I made an appointment at [Clinic A] because I wanted to ask the doctor about it, but on the day I ended up speaking with the coordinator instead because of the surgery schedule. When I said I thought there were still threads in my bridge, the coordinator felt around and said, “There aren’t any. We removed them all,” as if that settled it. In the end, when the removal clinic removed them, threads actually came out. I was so angry. It is honestly laughable that the place even moved after being shut down, lol.
I really hope you choose carefully so you do not end up regretting it. It has been almost a year since removal, and I am satisfied now.
