I never thought I’d end up having revision surgery at Kowon after my first nose surgery failed... I had also consulted here when I was first looking for a nose clinic, and I remembered liking how professionally Dr. Kim Hyung-taek handled the consultation. I returned, and as soon as the consultation ended, I felt I definitely had to have my revision here.
After my first surgery failed, I kept thinking, “Ah, maybe I should have done it at Kowon.” The director’s revision consultation was genuinely clean and professional, without unnecessary details, and realistically pointed out the current problems with my nose and the limits of what revision surgery could improve. The director and the consultant were both kind!
It hasn’t even been a month since my revision, but although I was really worried beforehand, I felt much more at ease after the surgery. I think I had quite severe bruising after my first surgery, but this time there was almost none. Even people around me said it was surprising. Does recovery from revision rhinoplasty, including bruising and swelling, vary depending on the doctor’s skill?
Anyway, my first surgery used donor rib cartilage and silicone, but this time they ground autologous costal cartilage into particles and used it. I think the director designed it well while paying attention to columella correction and nasolabial angle correction. I’m currently also undergoing orthodontic treatment, and I can’t even imagine how much more upgraded I’ll look once the braces come off, lol.
Every time I visit the clinic, the director personally checks the progress of my nose surgery and says it is healing well, which reassures me, haha.
Another reason I’m glad I chose Kowon Plastic Surgery for revision is that the clinic’s feedback is very quick. Whenever I contacted them with questions, they were extremely kind and responded quickly, which I liked. If you’re looking for a clinic for revision rhinoplasty, I think it would be worth getting a consultation here.
