I was considering revision rhinoplasty and had a consultation. The surgeon professionally explained the current condition of my nose and the issues that could result from my previous surgery, which helped me understand things during the consultation. Regarding the area I most want to improve, rather than simply saying it could be done as I wished, the surgeon carefully explained whether it could actually be improved as much as I wanted through surgery. In particular, the surgeon honestly said there could be a gap between the result I expected and the result surgery could actually achieve, which helped me think more realistically. Instead of deciding on surgery immediately after the consultation, I felt I should first consider carefully whether the improvements I want can truly be achieved, as well as the necessity and risks of surgery. Overall, the consultation was thorough and the professional explanation was helpful. For now, I am still deliberating over whether the areas I want can be clearly improved.
