Two-month review after full autologous rib cartilage revision rhinoplasty

Why I decided on revision rhinoplasty I had my first rhinoplasty with silicone, but inflammation meant the implant had to be removed first. After removal, my biggest stress was that my bridge had become too low. Above all, I absolutely did not want an implant for my next revision.

Why I chose [Clinic A] While visiting many clinics and researching revision rhinoplasty, I watched reviews of autologous rib cartilage rhinoplasty on YouTube. Because I desperately did not want another revision, I looked for a clinic specializing in autologous rib cartilage.

Consultation and surgical method Bridge: 3D-customized DCF using minced rib cartilage Tip: autologous costal cartilage, with septal reinforcement and extension Other corrections: columella lowering, nasolabial angle correction, and functional nasal surgery for rhinitis The plan was to design the contour using only my own tissue, without any implant.

Recovery and honest satisfaction at two months Pain and recovery: The rib area where the autologous cartilage was harvested honestly hurt quite a bit until about one month after rhinoplasty, causing some inconvenience in daily life. Now, at two months, the pain has completely disappeared and I am comfortable.

Nasal shape and satisfaction: Personally, I sometimes feel the bridge volume is slightly lacking. However, the doctor said the current shape is the most ideal and harmonious, so I trust the professional opinion and am satisfied.
