I had rhinoplasty and facial contouring (cheekbones and a short/receding chin) at [Clinic A] in Gangnam, and I’m finally back after a little over a month to write my review. I’m genuinely moved that I’m writing one of these reviews myself T_T Whenever I took photos, my facial line looked bumpy, and I was self-conscious, so I would tense the corners of my mouth to fill out my cheeks, laugh, tilt my head, and edit my nasal bridge with Meitu until I became disillusioned. Then I looked at YouTube and review photos from this community and decided to have surgery T_T My criteria for selecting a clinic were at least 15 years of experience, a solo director who had worked at a large hospital, and no reviews where the surgical look was obvious. I filtered places that way and went for consultations. I have a small nose and thin skin, so I’m a case that blossomed under terrible conditions haha. Dr. [Doctor A] showed me my CT and explained that cheekbone surgery would have a very good effect, and that because my chin was long and recessed, reducing the cheekbones and jaw while bringing the chin forward would make my face look smaller. Even without dramatically raising my nose (though I couldn’t raise it dramatically anyway), I would have attractive proportions. The doctor used some kind of virtual 3D program to show me how things would look. I had already sensed this from the reviews I found, but the doctor had an aesthetic sense for finding proportions that were natural rather than artificial and suited to each individual. Perhaps because she is a female doctor, she explained every detail carefully and systematically. The consultation with her was also the longest of all the clinics—around 40 minutes, I think. She seemed very proud to specialize only in facial contouring and nasal bone surgery. The consultant showed me before-and-after cases similar to mine and said I could become like that too. I was wavering because of the money and fear, but I pulled myself together and booked immediately. Honestly, from the night of surgery until about two weeks of being extremely swollen, I wondered whether I had done the right thing, thought I should have just lived as I was, suffered through the pain and trips to the hospital, and regretted it a lot. But now I feel like I’ve finally seen the light T_T I no longer have to sculpt my face with Meitu or look up masseter Botox because I tense my mouth. I don’t worry about my lateral cheekbone line anymore and can take front-facing selfies. I’m truly happy these days T_T The day after surgery was a day off for the hospital, but the doctor still came in to remove my nasal packing and provide all the treatment. The other staff explained the precautions so thoroughly I thought they would become etched in my ears, and the doctor explained them even more carefully. I felt once again that I had made the right choice by going to a female doctor who works alone. I also liked that they scheduled my suture removal, laser treatment, and visits at times that would not overlap with other patients, so I wouldn’t run into anyone. T_T Looking at the before-and-after photos while writing this, I realized that before surgery, the only compliments I used to hear were that I looked youthful or cute—and maybe those weren’t really compliments after all haha. My friends and coworkers say I have more presence and look much prettier, with their eyes wide in surprise. I can definitely feel that I look more feminine, and since I can tell that people around me see me differently, I regret how much time I spent hesitating. I wish I had done it sooner, while I was even one year younger, and lived with a prettier face for a little longer T_T I’m extremely satisfied, so I wrote this review because I wanted to show off a little. Even if you don’t think it’s great, please don’t say it’s bad haha T_T~~~
