When I had my first eye surgery, I was fairly satisfied, but the line was too thick and my ability to open my eyes didn’t feel the same as before... Since this was a revision, I looked into everything much more carefully than I did the first time. I was wondering whether I needed to do an incision again and whether it was right to combine it with ptosis correction, and since I’m currently breastfeeding, that part concerned me quite a bit too. I was worried not only about the surgery itself, but also about how I would manage breastfeeding because of the medication after surgery and the recovery period. During the consultation with Director Hwang Ho at H.D.M.H, I mentioned that I was breastfeeding, and the director said I would need to stop for about a week after surgery. At first I thought this meant I might need to delay the surgery even more because of that, but since it wasn’t a longer pause than I had expected, I felt a bit more at ease. On the day of surgery, because it was a revision, I was much more nervous than I had been for my first eye surgery I was worried about whether I was unnecessarily touching an eye that had already been operated on once, and I went in thinking this really would be the last time... After the surgery there was some swelling and bruising, but it wasn’t to the point of being hard to look at~ Especially before, when I opened my eyes, there was a feeling that I had to force them open, but now opening my eyes feels a little easier. The line also seems to be settling into the natural look I wanted rather than looking too thick or flashy, so I’m relieved. And for people who are breastfeeding, I think it would be better to plan in advance not just for the surgery itself, but also for the medication after surgery and the period when you need to stop breastfeeding. At first I wasn’t sure how I should handle that part either, but once I decided to pause for about a week, it actually became easier to plan!
