Review of getting double jaw surgery right after high school

It has recently been 1 year since my double jaw surgery, so I went in for a follow-up! Since childhood, I had severe facial asymmetry, and because of that asymmetry I also had a malocclusion, so my jaw always hurt and I often had indigestion, which is why I decided on double jaw surgery. Once I became a high school student and my growth had finished, I went ahead and had double jaw surgery and contouring type 2 (square jaw and chin) at Y Oral Surgery! It has already been a year since the surgery, and I’m living my everyday life without any problems at all. Facial asymmetry suddenly appeared during my elementary school growth period, and then the malocclusion developed and my jaw dislocated too, so I had the double jaw surgery in my second year of high school after my growth had finished. Now, a year later, I’m living without any inconvenience in daily life, to the point that it doesn’t even feel like I had surgery. The surgery turned out so naturally and exactly the way I wanted that people around me don’t even know I had surgery, and even I sometimes think, did I always look like this? I’m very satisfied with how pretty it turned out! Now the swelling is gone, and I can chew and open my mouth normally! After the surgery, my self-esteem went up a lot and I take a lot of selfies too. And people around me always say my face is so small and they’re jealous whenever they see me haha. I think it was such a good decision to have the surgery, and if I could go back, I think I would have done it even sooner! For those who, like me, have been thinking about double jaw surgery for a long time, I think it will be a surgery you won’t regret!
