It's already been 11 months since I had double jaw surgery with Director Shin Hee-jin at Iu Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. I've been bothered by facial asymmetry since I was young, so I spent a long time just wondering whether I should have surgery or not, and then this year I decided I should just do it. I searched for oral and maxillofacial double jaw surgery and saw Iu Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery come up a lot, so I went for a consultation! I only consulted at two places, including Iu Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, but the consultation felt more thorough and the facility also looked good, so I went ahead with the surgery there. Now it's been 11 months, and I think the swelling is almost completely gone and there is almost no inconvenience in daily life! Compared with before surgery, it has definitely become more natural, and the parts I used to worry about because of the asymmetry have improved a lot, so now I feel like I'm just living without thinking about it There is one thing, though. For personal reasons I had partial orthodontic treatment, and after my bite changed, eating is fine, but when I keep my mouth closed or chew, there's a little discomfort and a part that keeps bothering me. Still, aside from that, daily life is almost the same as before surgery, and my face seems like all the swelling has gone down, so I'm pretty satisfied with the result now! I do think it was the right decision to get double jaw surgery!
