It’s been 6 months since my double jaw surgery, and I’m trying all the hairstyles I wanted^^

When I sat down to write this review, it had already been 6 months since my surgery. At first, each day felt long, but now I’m spending everyday life that is truly different from before the surgery.^^ I had double jaw contouring surgery with Director Shin Hee-jin at I-Yu Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Because of my Class II malocclusion, I spent a long time habitually pushing my short lower jaw forward when eating and speaking. Over time, that put more and more strain on my jaw, and not only did it start making sounds, it also kept dislocating repeatedly. Later, it got to the point where my jaw could dislocate even when I was just talking, so I finally started looking into surgery. The examination showed that I needed double jaw surgery, and I was also told that the left jaw disc had already been displaced a lot and worn down. Since I was getting double jaw surgery anyway, I decided to have the cheekbone and chin surgery that had been a lifelong complex of mine done at the same time. Because it was such a big surgery, I also consulted at several hospitals. Even so, the reason I chose this hospital was that I had known I-Yu Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from YouTube and cafes for a long time, and because I was interested, I had searched for a lot of reviews and videos before deciding on surgery, so I already had high expectations before visiting. In reality, the tests done before the consultation were very systematic and thorough, which made me trust them. Seeing Director Shin Hee-jin explain my condition one by one in detail based on the test results made me feel that this place was definitely different from other hospitals, and I remember deciding to have surgery here^^ In the early period after surgery, my husband and children were amazed at how much my face shape had changed, and when I met friends I’d known for more than 10 years, they also said my face shape had changed a lot Especially, everyone said my side profile became really pretty as my receding chin line came out naturally. They also said my face looked smaller than before and my impression became much softer, which made me happy too. Most of all, the most satisfying thing was that the jaw dislocation symptom that made me decide on surgery has not happened once after the operation. Every time that happened, I felt that I was really glad I had the surgery. As my cheekbones and jaw line changed, the hairstyles I had always worn before somehow no longer seemed to suit me, so I started trying new styles too. Even though they were hairstyles I had never even imagined before, they matched my face shape well, so I found that surprising too. It’s already been 6 months, so I went to the hospital for a regular checkup. I was relieved to hear that the bone had settled in very well and that I was doing well without any special side effects. I was also told that orthodontic treatment might be finished in about 3 more months, so I’m even more excited^^ Of course, right after surgery there were moments when I regretted it, thinking, why did I say I’d do this hard thing? But looking at how I am now, I think I’m living this comfortable daily life because I endured that time well. I still have a little orthodontic treatment left, but I want to finish it well to the end and live with an even more natural appearance^^ I’m very satisfied~
