Double-Jaw Surgery Reviews

My review of orthognathic surgery: my long face started looking shorter from day 7

Thanks to the shorter midface, these days every time I look in the mirror, it's become fun to see my face changing little by little It has already been a little over 3 months since I had orthognathic surgery with Dr. Kim Jong-yoon at Iyuk Oral Surgery! At first I was only thinking I wished time would pass faster Still, I guess I did pass the three-digit mark since surgery My complex was my gummy smile and long face shape whenever I saw candid photos of myself. Especially in photos with other people, that part stood out even more, so I gradually started avoiding photos altogether. After reaching my late 20s and looking back at old photos, I felt so disappointed that there were almost no photos left,, so before it got any later, I wanted to overcome this complex through orthognathic surgery! When looking for a clinic, I focused more on reviews where a long face and gummy smile had been improved, rather than cases of underbite or facial asymmetry. Then I saw a similar case that had been operated on by Dr. Kim Jong-yoon, and after the consultation I ultimately decided on it Since I valued facial balance and natural changes more than functional discomfort, I felt it suited my standards best when I considered both safety and aesthetics!! After about 3 months, my face really feels like it's finding its place. At first I was concerned because I thought I could see some nose lifting? But maybe because of swelling, it now feels like it has come down much more naturally, and I'm satisfied!! I also like my side profile now, so I keep looking at it once more in the mirror for no reason As the swelling keeps going down, I can see my face shape getting more refined, so the changes keep feeling noticeableㅎㅅㅎ When I meet acquaintances after a long time, unless I bring up the surgery first, they don't really ask whether I had surgery or not Most of them think I just lost some weight or look prettier, so I felt it was settling in naturally, which made me even happier!! Honestly, I think I already liked it from the one-week mark Of course there was swelling, but it was amazing to see the long face getting shorter, and I remember being really satisfied just from my lips naturally closing together, when before they were parted even without me making any effort Now daily life is almost completely fine, and people meeting me for the first time would have no idea I had surgery. People around me often think I just gained a little cheek fat~! Since I'm past the plateau and the swelling is starting to go down again, I'm also looking forward to seeing what changes there will be at 4, 5, and 6 months! And these days, what I most want to try is a lifting laser like InMode The desire to get prettier never really ends, they say, so I do want to refine the remaining minor swelling and the facial line a bit more, but recovery after orthognathic surgery is important too!! So I'm planning to wait until 6 months I already enjoy seeing my face change a little bit every day, so I'm spending the rest of my recovery period with anticipation.
