I got a lot of questions and a lot of support because of the full removal, and today I went back to the clinic where it was removed. To start with the conclusion, they said it wasn't inflammation. Honestly, plastic surgery clinics often brush things off with, 'It'll get better after some time~' and move on. I went in thinking the same this time too, but as soon as they looked, they said it wasn't inflammation.
At this point, I don't care about the shape at all. I told them that the heat, throbbing, and pressure I had during my first surgery seemed to be happening again, and I wanted treatment. Then they explained from A to Z why it isn't inflammation right now, and when I kept asking about the parts I was suspicious of, they explained in even more detail.
For the last two weeks, I had been dieting after work and exercising too. It wasn't extreme, but I lost about 4 kg in two weeks, and I think my immune system may have dropped in the process.
They spent about 30 minutes with me, and because I'm still young, they encouraged me a lot. They didn't even charge some of the fees, and at the end they told me not to worry too much going forward and hoped I'd be doing well.
And one thing I really want to say: there are so many people like me who got impulsive nose surgery, regretted it, and had full removal. When I see people sending desperate DMs asking for information, I understand that feeling so well.
I was really falling apart over the past two weeks too. I even looked up ways to die and was going to write a will, and because I couldn't smile for two whole weeks, my family even made a psychiatry appointment for me. I cried every day during my internship, and since my company is in engineering, most of the people there are men, and everyone was flustered lol
I felt even worse because it seemed like everyone around me was falling apart too because of me, and I still regret a lot that I had surgery without thinking, and sometimes I think this is the process of paying the price for that. I'm still not completely free from worry. After hearing the explanation today, I understood that it isn't inflammation, but I still booked an exam with an ENT clinic specializing in nose surgery two weeks later.
If there's someone going through a hard time like I am right now, let's definitely get through this together. I think living while lowering our greed a little and being grateful for what we have now is a much bigger happiness than I expected.
And the most important thing: there are people asking me to guess which clinic I had the removal at or which clinic did the first surgery, and sometimes they guess right. But recommending this place? No, that's not it. I chose it because it matched my situation, the surgical direction, and the doctor's removal goals, and it took about a year to decide.
One more thing I realized after talking today is that this place seems to prioritize safe removal over appearance. My nose shape is raised, small, low, and a total mess, but that's just because I gave up on looks.
I'm graduating from this community now….
