I wanted to do LASIK if possible, but... they said my cornea was thin, so I went ahead with LASEK. It wasn't extremely thin, just about 10 to 20 thinner than average, but the fact that they still recommended LASEK made me feel like they really prioritized safety. It didn't hurt so much that I thought I would die, but it did hurt quite a bit, and it hurt for about 3 days. I did LASEK for 1.4 million and corneal strengthening for 600,000, so 2 million total. But this was with the student discount, so it was probably more expensive originally.
