It's already been 10 years since my LASIK! Back then I had the then-new Smile LASIK, and I only had tearing and stinging for 4 hours, then I got better right away. They say LASIK can sting for 4 days, so LASIK really is good. My eyesight was bad, around -6.5, and my astigmatism was very severe too. At the glasses shop they even said my corneas were uneven, so I did not expect LASIK to be possible at all, so I was surprised when they said it could be done. I even had dry eye syndrome, though I did not feel it myself, but the test results showed it, and since my corneas were thick, they said I could even do it twice. Yay. At that time my vision recovered to 1.2, and now it has been 10 years and my vision is around 0.7. It was a highly satisfying surgery that improved my quality of life.
