The hospital was the same one my mom had her vision correction surgery at over ten years ago, and it’s also a place a lot of people I know have gone to, so I chose it. After the consultation, they said my eyes would have a hard time with SMILE LASIK, so I went with LASEK. Since it’s my eyes, I figured it would be good to pay a little more and went with the head doctor, so I didn’t get any discount and paid the expensive price, but in the end I am satisfied. Still, I later heard that LASEK is the procedure that depends the least on the doctor’s hands, and I did think I should have just chosen another doctor. For the first year after surgery, my eyes were only dry when I woke up after sleeping, and I didn’t feel any dryness at all during daily life. Now it’s almost 15 months, and even the morning dryness seems to have improved a lot.
