Double-Jaw Surgery Reviews

Two-jaw + contouring type 2 review

Before surgery, my concerns were malocclusion, protruding mouth, and facial asymmetry, so I was worried about several aspects, both appearance-related and health-related. Reason for choosing the hospital: It is a private hospital with one doctor on staff, so from the beginning it felt more specialized than other hospitals, and I also liked that they clearly explained the limits of how much change could happen after surgery. Aside from difficulty breathing, the pain was bearable. During the 2-day hospital stay after surgery, the nurses stayed on standby 24 hours and took good care of meals, breathing, and everything else, which I appreciated. They also handled postoperative care carefully and explained the precautions well. -One month in- The swelling after surgery has almost gone down, with only a little left in the lower gum inside my mouth. The sensation in my left jaw has not fully returned yet, but it has only been one month, so I think I need to keep watching. Eating has become incomparably easier compared with right after surgery. There is still a bit of swelling left, but the change is definitely noticeable both aesthetically and in terms of occlusion. It is too major an operation to recommend lightly, but if I went back to before, I think I would still do it again.
