4-Month Post-Op Review: Natural Symmetry and Restored Confidence

It has been 4 months since I had surgery with Director Kim at Yigu Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. In the beginning, swelling and pain made daily life a little inconvenient, but as time passed it has been gradually becoming more natural. At first my mouth and jaw felt awkward, but now I do not worry much even when I smile or speak, and I can feel that the overall balance of my face has improved noticeably. I think my original goal, which was simply to match the symmetry naturally without it looking obvious, was achieved exactly. People around me also say my face has changed naturally, and I myself have started enjoying taking photos. When I smile, the mouth and jaw line feel stable, and the side profile that used to bother me is now satisfying. Everyday things like eating and speaking are hardly uncomfortable, and it feels like I am gradually recovering completely. There is still a little swelling left, but compared with right after surgery it is much more natural and stable, so I feel reassured. To sum up, at 4 months post-op I feel that I have fully achieved my goals of natural symmetry and restored confidence, and I am looking forward to the rest of the recovery process.
