Why I’m so satisfied 10 months after jaw surgery in my 20s

It has been 10 months since I had jaw surgery with Director Shin Hee-jin at Leeu Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and if I casually tell my story, I had my complexes, and even though my 20s were already behind me, I still wanted to live with a better appearance now, so I decided to have surgery^^ At first, I went to Leeu Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery just to check whether it was jaw surgery or contouring, but after visiting about six more places for consultations, this was the place where the director’s consultation, the hospital system, and the overall professionalism felt most trustworthy, so I came back in the end and felt that my first choice had been right haha. The managers were also kind, and their explanations were very realistic, which made me trust them even more, and the director pointed out only the necessary parts, which actually helped me a lot in making the decision~ Right after the surgery, it honestly was not easy because of the swelling and discomfort, and especially during the first one or two months I had to be careful even with eating and my speech felt awkward, so it was a bit frustrating, but as time passed, I could see the recovery happening, so I think I handled it better than expected haha. Around 3 months in, most of the major swelling was gone and I could return to everyday life naturally. At 10 months now, the face line has definitely become more refined and I hear a lot that my impression has softened, and functionally, being able to eat comfortably without that feeling of tension in my jaw like before is what satisfies me most~ My sensation has not fully returned yet, but it is at a level that does not interfere with daily life at all, so it does not bother me much, and if anything it feels like it is becoming more natural over time, so waiting has been fine haha. Overall, the recovery process was not exactly easy, but after it was over I could feel that both the function and the facial shape had improved, so it is a surgery with a very high satisfaction level. For people considering jaw surgery or jaw surgery plus contouring, I think it may be good not to be too scared and to start with a consultation and then decide slowly~ I am now at the point where I just keep wondering why I did not do it sooner, because I am so, so satisfied^^
