Double-Jaw Surgery Reviews

For those considering double jaw surgery, please read

It's now been 6 months since my double jaw surgery and contouring 2 procedures (square jaw, chin) that I had last mid-October at Y Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Before surgery, I was stressed because of asymmetry and a long face, and I made a big decision to overcome the complex it caused. I also got a lot of information from many people's reviews before surgery, so I hope my story can be practical help to those considering double jaw surgery. Six months after surgery, my biggest satisfaction is that recovery has progressed so much that I don't even feel minor swelling, to the point that my old face already feels like a blur and my face has become so natural. Of course, there is still a faint strange feeling unique to post-op changes, but the relief from my former complex is much greater. These external changes have also had a positive effect on my mental state, and at school I live day to day much more confidently than before. Looking at changes in diet during recovery, I was careful with food until the 3-month mark after surgery. But once I reached month 4, I could eat almost everything without restrictions, and I recovered to the point where I could eat normally without thinking about it. The part I still pay the most attention to is that when I take photos, my smile sometimes feels awkward, but I plan to improve that by continuing orthodontic treatment, practicing smiles in the mirror, and working on it steadily. Double jaw surgery is not something to decide lightly, so I don't want to recommend it carelessly. But if, like me, your complex makes daily life difficult, I urge you to gather enough information, think deeply, and decide carefully.
