Double-Jaw Surgery Reviews

Review of orthognathic surgery and contouring 3, and I hope it helps

I also looked up a lot of reviews before my surgery, so I am writing this in detail in case it helps someone. I had double-jaw surgery and contouring surgery 3 (cheekbones, square jaw, and chin) on February 4. I originally had severe malocclusion, and there were functional problems too. Chewing food was uncomfortable, and every time I took a photo, my side profile stressed me out. At first I thought orthodontics alone would solve it, but I wasn't satisfied, so I decided on surgery. After deciding on surgery, I started looking into hospitals, and [Clinic A] was the first place I came across through YouTube. I had looked into a total of two places through YouTube, and after visiting the other place first, [Clinic A] was the second hospital I visited, but I chose it without hesitation. The consultation was really systematic, and they told me exactly what could change on my face and what could not, which I liked. I also really liked that they clearly and honestly said what could not be done. Before surgery, I was really scared. General anesthesia itself was my first time, so as the surgery date got closer I kept searching online and even wondered, "Why did I say I would do this?" The day of surgery was so scary, but the nurses took care of everything one by one. When you come out after surgery, breathing is harder than the pain.. Until the second day I really regretted having the surgery because breathing was so hard. But as soon as I was discharged, I could feel my face line had changed and breathing became a little easier, and I was immediately satisfied. For about a week I couldn't eat, so I had almost no energy. If I got up from bed, my head would spin and I had to stand still for about 10 seconds, and because I wasn't eating, my strength kept draining away. But after about 2 weeks, the major swelling started to go down little by little, and around one month later my face started to feel like a normal human face again. People around me said my impression had become much softer too. Now people often tell me I have become really pretty. Some even asked if I had done my nose too. The biggest change for me is my confidence. I used to have no confidence in either my front view or my side view, but now I can really go out with confidence. I used to worry about laughing when someone was next to me and try not to smile too much, but after surgery that kind of concern disappeared entirely. Now that I am at the 3-month mark, I can do almost everything in daily life and eat much more comfortably. I still avoid very hard foods like before, but the discomfort has really decreased a lot. Compared to the early stage, the swelling has gone down so much that people now say it hardly looks like I had surgery. And as time passes, I feel the face line settles even more naturally. I am especially satisfied with the side profile, and the part that used to stress me out in photos is gone. Before, I always had to worry about face angle and spent a long time choosing photos, but now that has become much less of an issue. Above all, what feels better functionally is that chewing food is much easier and keeping my mouth closed feels natural too. Because I remember how hard the immediate post-op period was, I had a lot of worries early on, but now that I think about it, I am extremely satisfied. Of course, recovery is not easy, but if you have long been worried about functional stress or aesthetic complexes like I was, I really hope you will get a consultation.
