Double-Jaw Surgery Reviews

Please get orthodontic treatment before double jaw surgery

First of all, because my teeth were severely crooked (my front tooth had rotated 90 degrees + class 3 malocclusion with a protruding jaw), I started orthodontic treatment in middle school. I think I had jaw correction in middle school and teeth alignment in high school. At first, of course, it was hard because I had to keep wearing the appliances, my pronunciation was off, and the brackets made it uncomfortable to smile or eat. It hurt a lot when I wore elastics, and I regretted it terribly. I think after I got my first brackets, my mouth got sore and it hurt so much that I seriously considered taking the appliance off. After I became an adult, people kept complimenting my face shape, saying I looked like someone who had had double jaw surgery, so I've always lived grateful to my dentist. Even apart from face shape, it seems like teeth alignment matters a lot for first impressions. I do have a slightly peanut-shaped face now, but if I cover it with my hair it doesn't show at all, so I give it 9.5/10
