Consultation review for closed tip cartilage binding / LZJ HIB

My nasal bridge is fairly high. I wanted to correct only the bulbous tip, with no implants, no open surgery, and no cartilage insertion, so I looked into closed tip cartilage binding. I hate pinched noses and droopy clown-like noses. The post is long, so I put a summary at the bottom! LZJ and HIB Both consultations followed the same flow: manager -> doctor -> manager LZJ Plastic Surgery - Dr. Im JT (solo doctor) 20 years and 4 months of experience / board-certified / opened the clinic 25 years ago Doctor consultation: 6 minutes Manager consultation: The manager was young and kind. (Usually young managers seem kind even if they do not have much experience.) Because she was kind, asking questions did not feel burdensome. The clinic mainly does alar reduction + tip cartilage binding, but since my nostrils are not wide and my nose is long, they recommended only tip cartilage binding. They did not push anything excessively, and the consultation was overall fine. Same price as BBBT. Doctor consultation: He was cynical, just like in other reviews. He is not the type to explain everything in detail, so you need to prepare your questions in advance. He explained that each piece of cartilage is gathered and bound together. Because it feels like tying the tip of the nose, I worried it might look pinched. He said the pinched-looking part is tied from the inside, so it should not look very pinched. The thread inside the nose is dissolvable, and the thread used for the outer sutures is removed. I asked whether alar reduction was also necessary, and he asked if I wanted it narrower than this -> no -> then there was no need to do anything else. Very cynical. Recovery period is one week, swelling about two weeks. It is done under sleep anesthesia, and because I was afraid of something going wrong during sleep anesthesia, I asked whether local anesthesia was possible too. They said they needed them for the consultation, so I had no choice but to take them. The manager looked to be in her mid-to-late 40s, but her tone was annoying. She had that typical tone of experienced managers where even though she used honorifics, it felt like she was lecturing me. Maybe it was worse because I am young. She kept gaslighting me, saying my skin was thick and I needed bulbous-nose correction. She kept saying that cartilage binding alone would not be dramatic. (I was not even considering bulbous-nose correction, and I did not want it because I was worried about scar tissue.) When I brought up scar tissue, she firmly said that it does not cause scar tissue and that it needs to be done together for effect, and kept pushing it. She was very pushy. I also asked about the pinched-nose issue, and she very firmly said they had never had a pinched case. She said they use non-dissolving thread like nylon (this bothered me a bit because they said it would not be removed). Even when I asked about thread-related side effects, she replied that there had been no such cases, but no surgery has zero side effects. If I only think about side effects, I cannot have surgery. That kind of answer; if you do not want even things like that left behind, then you should do nothing at all. lol;; She argued with everything I said. I felt uncomfortable the whole time, and I think I would avoid this place even more because of the manager who kept trying to gaslight me.. They do both sleep anesthesia and local anesthesia, but recommend sleep, and said the splint would stay on for one week. Doctor consultation: Based on what I discussed with the manager, he explained everything in great detail. He explained nonstop and very thoroughly. The manager kept insisting that my nose skin was thick and that I should also have bulbous-nose surgery, but the doctor said my skin is not thick, so I do not need bulbous-nose surgery. He seemed to prefer a natural result without pinching, using an inside incision and avoiding over-tightening. He explained in detail with a cotton swab where the binding would be done. He said that to avoid a pinched nose, the lower part would not be tied tightly, and the upper part would be gathered together. The experience is a bit disappointing, but I liked how detailed the consultation was and I liked the surgical method. Uses nylon thread (they say it is not removed..) Splint for one week I like HIB's method more than LZJ's for avoiding a pinched nose, but what bothers me is that they use nylon thread (not removed), the doctor's years of experience, and the consultation manager who seems like she would play ignorant about side effects. They already say there are no side effects at our hospital, and it feels like if complications happen later, they would deny responsibility. I do not know if I am allowed to mention the price, so I left it out. LZJ was about 200,000 won more expensive. I will look around more, but please share your opinions.
