Nose Re-Surgery

Inflammation after revision nose surgery

It’s been 5 years since my nose surgery.. People told me, “Your nose smells really bad,” and I was shocked, so I went to an ENT clinic and got a CT scan. They said it looked like my ear cartilage had sunk and there was inflammation, so I quickly started looking for a revision surgery clinic. I went to consultations at 3 clinics, and all of them said the same thing: “It looks like there’s inflammation and the cartilage has collapsed.” So I decided on revision surgery right away for the following week and had the operation, but what the doctor and nurses all said was.. As soon as they opened the nose, the smell was extremely bad. They said the inflammation was severe and there were a lot of holes in the skin.. When everything was done and I came home, there was a terrible smell from my nose along with discharge. I figured that was just normal, and a week later I went to get the stitches removed, but they said the stitches inside my nose had come undone. They said the bad smell was because the stitches had loosened, and that if they stitched it again, it would be fine, so they gave me local anesthesia and sewed it up. Then I came home, but even after restitching, the smell is still terrible. I have to go get the stitches removed, but I’m worried they’ll say something inside came undone again. The smell is so bad that not only me but the person standing next to me says it’s extremely strong, and a yellowish fluid like discharge keeps coming out, and when I wipe it and smell it, it’s that same smell. Will they do an aftercare correction for this too?
