The thing I really regret is that when I had my first nose surgery 3 years ago, I didn’t know any better and told the director to make it as high as possible.. I had severe bulbous nasal tip, and because I was so stressed about that, I got way too greedy So the nose height and shape turned out really pretty and I was satisfied and lived well like that.. But recently, because of personal issues I’ve been stressed, not sleeping much, and doing a lot of physical work. Maybe because of that, or maybe because of an immune issue or dust, I’m not sure, but these days the part where the autologous rib cartilage was used feels like it’s about to poke through? The nasal tip feels tight and heavy, like it’s being pinched with a clothespin? (It looks fine from the outside) And the tip feels sharp and stuffy, like when you get water in your nose while swimming, so I keep sniffing a bit (feels like rhinitis or sinusitis; before the nose surgery, I had zero nose-related problems). No matter how I think about it, I feel like this happened because I made it excessively high back then. The skin at the nasal tip has also gotten thinner, damn So I think I need to either lower only the height of the rib cartilage or remove it entirely. Of course, I’d need consultations at several hospitals to know the exact diagnosis, but.. I don’t want a complete removal functionally or aesthetically; I just want to lower the height a bit more naturally. If there’s anyone like me who had the nose made too high with rib cartilage and felt pulling and tightness at the tip, and who got rid of those symptoms by lowering only the height, please tell me if that happened to you? I searched in a panic after getting mentally overwhelmed, and it seems that for revision rhinoplasty, you usually have to decide clearly whether you’ll remove everything or just do another nose revision and discuss that during consultation, but I still don’t know.. So does that mean nose surgery ultimately ends up as reconstruction..? And if you’re thinking about nose surgery, seriously don’t do it, this is a ticking time bomb... Everyone who stays in nose reconstruction here will relate. Nose surgery really seems like something you should not do hehe.. Unless you only shave down a hump a little or something, once you start putting silicone or rib cartilage and other things into the nose, it feels like this is not a surgery that should be done.. Unless you’re someone who can’t ever show your face in life because of your nose and absolutely must get nose surgery even if you die (that was me, damn) or you’ll become a celebrity or influencer through nose surgery and make money from your looks, don’t do it
