Today was day 5 after surgery, so I went in to have the cast removed and the external stitches taken out. Wow.. but the gap between my brows and my nose bridge felt more hopeless than I imagined... Of course there is swelling, and the area was also flattened by the cast, but T_T right now there is no contour at all at the brow area or nose bridge lol T_TTTT
It is exactly like that famous deep-sea fish and human-face meme. And the skin on the nose bridge feels strange too. I guess the skin that had been stretched by the silicone implant got wrinkled once the silicone was gone, kind of like an old woman's skin. (It does not look that way to the eye, but it feels like that when I touch it.)
I have to go to work starting tomorrow, so I think I will wear a mask all day, cut my bangs a bit shorter, and eat separately by myself for a while.. I told my coworkers I was coming back after rhinitis surgery; lol but anyone can see my nose bridge has gotten super low, so they will probably guess it anyway ^^..
The side view is much better than my original nose. I wish the side profile could stay like this forever T_T But once the swelling goes down, the tip will gradually droop and it will become a teardrop-shaped nose like my original one... I am already sad.
When I look at reviews of nose plastic surgery or full removal surgery, I always get why people focus on the side view lol. The front view does not show a dramatic change right away because of the swelling..
Oh, and I realized I have to go back to the hospital more often than I thought. Surgery day, day 3 for gauze change or removal, day 5 for cast removal plus external stitch removal, and then I have to go again next week to have the internal stitches removed. After that, I think I will also go back at 1 month and 2 months for follow-up checks.
People from out of town should probably ask for schedule adjustments T_T I live in Gyeonggi-do, but the round trip takes a little over 2 hours, so going back and forth is exhausting. @_@ I hope the swelling goes down soon...
