Eye Surgery Reviews

Motive community review

I had double eyelid surgery at another place before, but the line was set too high and it kept bothering me. If I didn’t put on makeup, my eyes looked like the swelling hadn’t gone down much, and the double eyelids folded in so thickly that my whole impression looked different. So while looking into revision surgery to lower the line, I found a place in Apgujeong that specializes in eyes and went in for a consultation. I’m generally a bit timid, so the idea of revision surgery itself felt burdensome, but during the consultation they carefully examined my eyes and explained which part of the current line was the problem. We decided on a plan that combined eye-opening correction with adjusting the line height, and they said that if only the line were lowered, the eyes could look cramped, so it would be better to also correct the eye-opening strength. The explanation matched my eye structure, so it made sense to me. I was a bit tense on the day of surgery, but it finished faster than I expected, and of course I was swollen right after. The area around my eyes was puffy and there was a little bruising, but I had braced myself for that, so I wasn’t too shocked. Once the swelling started going down noticeably, I could clearly see in the mirror that the line had become lower. As the double eyelids became naturally thinner, my eyes looked fresher too, so I was really satisfied. Recovery felt faster than after my previous surgery, and now everything has fully settled. Even without makeup, the double eyelids don’t feel burdensome, which I like. Before, I used to hide behind sunglasses, but now I don’t need to do that anymore. If you’re worried about the height of your double-eyelid line, I recommend doing it together with eye-opening correction. In the end, I think it was a good choice.
